Title: Rasarnavakalpa (ManifoldPowers of the Ocean of Rasa)
Author: Roy,M&Subbarayappa, BV (Trans)
Description: ‘Rasarnavakalpa,’ a Sanskrit manuscript on Indian alchemy and iatro-chemistry is a work of the 11th. Century A.D. As a part of the ‘Rudrayamalatantra,’ it consists of alchemical processes and preparations relating to transmutations of base metals into noble metals and transubstantiation of the human body on one hand, and the symbolic or esoteric Tantric rites on the other. As to the originality of the ‘Rasarnavakalpa,’ it seems to be in the nature of a codification of the then prevalent alchemical knowledge. Includes the original Sanskrit text which has been edited and translated by Mira Roy in collaboration with B.V. Subbarayappa.
